I have quite good tolerance in this regard. It makes me happy however, that I wasn't on board this vessel.
Bon voyage!
Aleksi at S60 Java blog has a very useful run down on how to manage those frequent Internet Access Point prompts when using Java applications.
"On S60 devices users may access Java application specific settings via Application Installer menu item. In the list showing installed applications there's an options menu item "Suite settings" (on 3rd ed FP 1 it's just "Open" menu item)."
This control seems to be restricted to 3rd edition devices:
"On 3rd ed FP 1 devices you will be able to configure a default Internet Access Point for that particular Java application. If you set it the application won't never prompt you for the access point but automatically uses the specified IAP when connecting to network.
So, anyway, after you do this once you don't have to repeatedly allow the application to choose a specific access point.
Great!
McLaren appeal found inadmissable. This was with out the doubt the lowest point of the 2007 championship. Despite all the headlines that McLaren was insisting that they were not after the championship in the courtroom, it was plain to see to those who read carefully all the preceding McLaren statements, that it was all about it. Even the angel faced Hamilton congratulated Kimi only after the verdict..
Why, you may ask, that this was the low point to a team who was found guilty of having benefited from the receipt of confidential Ferrari information and given a bill of $ 50 million (USD) as punishment.
Well: McLaren have ridden on the moral high horse for so long, that they had even me thinking that their different than others.Spying controversy didn't change that, because with all the people moving around in those small F1 circles it is quite sure that some IPR moved around. If not by other means then in the people's head..This was usually managed by teams so that departing personnel and their respective new teams were put on on hold with "gardening leaves". But high morale? No more.
I think McLaren made their most serious mistake in the whole season with this appeal. They had nothing to win but to loose their good name. Forever.
UPDATE: It seems possible that even McLaren didn't themselves have temperatures in check. What's more, the story behind the link should make McLaren*s motivations in going to the FIA court quite clear. Why should they seek for a clarification in court when there was a another route to take to clarify the issue?
What's there to say? ******* loosers!
Even the new star in town has it's weknessses. Google doesn't have to fear about shearing the data with a competitor. It has everything what you need. It's so easy to integrate your web-life into Google eco-system. And let's not forget that the web is going to be your desktop and PC as well.
This I found via Scoble.
Markku from Finland has apparently visited Mobile Phone Throwing Championship. Go and visit www.blogs.s60.com to see all four chapters reviewing the event in true Markku style: "Where nature and technology combine".
Went to my cousins summer house the other weekend. It has a beautiful location just at the water front. There are several buildings all tough not all finished. It' s a work in progress. As I was to find out..
Like already hinted above, there are three L's which are very important with your summer house. Location, location and location. You can't build your houses like this any more..law prohibits it.
Anyway, it started pleasantly enough. We prepared the bandit's roast on one of the evenings. It is supposed to be done in the ground. First you dig a hole in the ground which is heated first by burning wood there. Then the embers is moved away and the meat is covered and buried into the ground with the embers and sand on top of it. It is then left to ripe for several hours. Overnight in fact.
My cousin though had developed so called "gentleman's" version of it:
It was good!
All jokes aside, I want to thank my cousin and his wife for a wonderful time at their summer house. Did I tell you that they have four wonderful daughters. No? Here they are with some of the visiting artists.
This guy is good. The voice isn't bad and he is handy with the electronics. Notice how he records the chorus during the song and uses it in the backround.
Found this via Darla.
Some may make some conclusions about the title. But I can honestly say, that we just invented a new drink. Honestly...
Anyhoo.., actually, there was this one minor incident..., and we told about it when returning the boat. And everything was ok. If you don't believe me, ask this guy:
Our weekend trip was a success once more. Sun was shining and as it is with these trips, we had a lot of fun.
Thanks guys!
